“Making the Move: From Support Personnel to Librarian, a Closer Look”

This panel discussion featured three librarians who began their library careers in support staff positions. Making this transition can offer some unique challenges but can also be very rewarding. Panelists will discussed their work as support staff personnel, their decision to transition to a librarian position, educational opportunities that helped make the transition possible, and issues related to embracing new challenges and responsibilities once becoming a librarian.
